I have noticed that im really a grown up. Being mommy, daughter, sister, best friend, lover, and a woman is really serious business! i had to sit down and evaluate what really makes me happy.

1. A GOOD book! There is nothing like me putting myself into someone elses drama!

2. Hot steamy bubble bath! ENOUGH SAID.....

3. A nice glass of wine. I love white wine! Any brand will do.

4. Pink eye shadow. I love pink eye shadow! i hardly wear any other color im talking all shades of pink. it just makes me smile :)

5. My neck roll pillow! I MUST have it every night or i cant sleep!

6. My Snuggie! Dont judge me! lol

7. A pedicure. I will never walk around with my toes looking jacked up or rub against my honey with rough sand paper heels. I swear by my Ped Egg. If you dont have one you should!

8. My Mango Colada Body Whip. This stuff seriously transformed my skin from head to toe and the sugar scrub is divine!

9. Pretty Socks. i love socks i always pick them up from the dollar store (they have the cutest) or Walmart.

10. A good cry! I just feel so much better after a good cry!

April Fools Day

There was a time when I used to love to use this day to play pranks on people and spend time with my brother on his bday. But now its not the same since he is no longer around. I miss him so much and still think about him everyday at some point. Death is just one of those things that I will never understand especially since he was just 21. There are so many things that I wish we could be doing together but Im starting not to complain about it. He is in my heart and will live there forever.... I thank God for the years of laughter, fights, and love that we shared. Its hard losing a brother and best friend but it would be worse if I didnt have any memeories.

Diet Fad: Apple Cider Vinegar Diet Pills

Okay I can't lie I have tried almost every diet pill out there and I know that I will try more as they become available. So I decided to write a few posts about the things that I've tried and the things that worked (or not) for me.
I will start with the Apple Cider Vinegar diet.

I was introduced to this diet by my beautician who I noticed was just melting pounds away. Every week that I went she was noticeably smaller!! So me always on the hunt to shed vanity weight asked her the secret! So she told me about the pills. I went out to Walmart and picked some up. You get 90 tablets in the jar which seemed like a lot but considering the fact that you take 3 a day (one after each meal)it didn't stretch very far. They come with a food menu that you need 16 eyes to see because the writing is so small. I just stared taking them and didn't really change what I ate. I made sure to drink plenty of water though. After about the first week I did notice that My stomach was flatter and also that I was going to the restroom A LOT!!! They do work I don't know about the claim of increasing metabolism but they work. The only thing I couldn't stand was the awful vinegar smell! It seemed that I had vinegar coming out of my pores and that wasn't cool at all! So if you can stand smelling bitter then this is the choice for you. I never finished the bottle.

Feelings and Friendships

At some point in your life you meet someone that you click with and you spend time getting to know that person and BOOM a friendship is formed. That is a good thing because you can never have enough friends...Right?

WRONG!!!

I find that its absolutely necessary to have friends but you can have too many. everyone doesn't have your best interest at heart. Everyone doesn't want to help you grow. I'm blessed to have people in my life that love me and care about my everyday well being and I'm thankful for that.

I have my online friends and I can't wait to meet them in person. The thing about online friends are they take you at face value and that's LOVE

Now don't get me wrong, I love gifts just as much as the next person but I'm a firm believer in showing love all year round! Not just on Feb. 14! I mean is it really necessary to sell those damn bears on the side of the road? I even spotted a man purchasing some random see thru gown at the dollar store! I wanted to ask him would his lady really appreciate him bringing home sleep wear that smells like moth balls?

Okay so its a little past January 1st but I couldn't let the month go by without dropping in to say that I will be back to posting here. I like getting out of the shower feeling clean not slippery! I rather add moisture by lotion.

This little can brings me so much joy! Its from the Pantene Texture Collection and its the BOMB! I was really having problems with my hair curling up around the edges when I workout. Its so annoying to have straight hair every where except the hairline. I put a little of this around the edges and work out, when I comb my hair down it looks exactly the same! The formula is creamy so it doesn't take a whole lot to get results. It is not hard or flaky either!

I had never tried any Burt's Bees products before but I'm glad that I picked up this little kit on impulse at Borders Books of all places. The healthy glow part caught my eye, and for the price of 11.99 I said why not!

Contains:
Mini Exfoliating Body Bar (.80 oz.) - Haven't used this yet!
Exfoliating Body Wash (1 fl. oz.) -Smells divine!

Big Pores are the Devil!

I recently noticed that my skin was a lot clearer Im guessing from increasing the amount of water I drink but for about the past week I had these unsightly black heads on my nose! I used this Clean ad Clear Blackhead Eraser and they were removed almost instantly! It opened my pores and cleaned them out but the next day I noticed my pores were HUGE! I began my search for another product that will minimize them and i decided to try Oil of olay pore redefining scrub. It comes in this tube with a twist off cap and the product leaves your skin feeling clean and tight. It did close my pores after a few uses.

I always get compliments on my skin (even with no makeup) from strangers and Im always flattered by it. So I often wonder how long will my complexion be this way.
Do you know the saying just look at your mother? My mom is In her 40's and her skin is flawless!! She doesn't really wear make up other than lipglass and/or eyeshadow. Now that I have an active twitter account I've been talking to my beautiful blogging sisters everyday and one of my favorites the creator of "luxetips" gave me some knowledge. So I'm finally finished with my slim quick cleanse and I must say that it may have worked! I say my have because not only was I taking 8 pills a day (too damn many) but I also changed my eating habits and actually did some exercise! I lost 10pounds this week and I'm happy about that but I will see this week if I just exercise and watch my food intake will I get the same kind of results. So please stay tuned!

Hair moment

Since I had a hair crisis on my birthday back in august and didn't know what to do I went into my local beauty supply looking for a solution. I purchased a half wig for about 65.oo and I wasn't disappointed! It blends in with my hair very well and Ive got a return on my money plus some by how many times Ive worn it. In the mean time my natural hair is getting a rest from chemicals, weaves and braids! I'm getting to know my "hair" again and I'm loving it!

I love Sasha Fierce and I love the single ladies song! But I got to thinking what happens after they put a ring on it? Speaking from experience a Ring don't mean a damn thing except the fact that you can say you have a rock! I have a 2 carat one myself that I would have traded in for love any day. Being in love with being in love is not a healthy way to live and definitely don't do it for your child because like me you will wake up 6 years later saying "oh oh oh oh oh"!

Since fathers day I've been keeping up with this story of two missing children. I watched as all these people gathered together to look for them and how the father seemed crazy as hell but the sad news came yesterday when I heard that this man led the police to the burned bodies of his damn kids! My feelings are so hurt because children are so innocent and he let these people look for those children with hopes of finding them alive and he knew all along what he had done!

While visiting the mall i decided to visit the MAC counter to play around before I talk about my purchase let me speak on the uniform for the employees! I'm talking about thigh high boots mini skirts, corsets and body jewelry!!! I loved every minute of it, besides being scared that a boob would pop out I thought they were very edgy and ready for the club. That actually made me wanna buy make up because they looked so FUN! Any way I got the plush glass in plus lux and also the Solar Field Bronzing Powder in Solar Riche. The plush glass really gives me that sexy as hell look with a little bit of shine and color! The bronzing powder gives me that kissed by the sun look. I'll post some pictures after I beat my face today!!!

Where do I start? I miss you so much that it hurts sometimes, I cant believe I'm here to get old alone! We had so many plans for our lives but now I have to find my way solo I will never question why God chose to take you away so soon instead I thank him for the 22 years of your life that you were here. I remember never having a bad day because you always had a solution to fix any problem or a kind word to make me smile. I know you weren't an angel to everyone but you were definitely one for me! I loved your creative mind, your passion for life, your way of never talking bad about someone. Even though you were younger you always made me feel safe and protected when you were around. It was comforting knowing that you were always a call away, I got so attached to you that I never imagined life without you. Your nephew that you named and was able to bond with asks about you often and we can only say that you are watching him from heaven. Its so funny he wont let anyone else cut his hair without begging or threatening him. Mommy Is doing okay but misses you terribly these 3yrs have been gone by so quickly and its like we are stuck in time and confused by it all. Bj is in college and refuses to let the things that make black men crack get in his way. I wont keep you long just wanted you to know that I love you And thought of you today.

I'm so sick of seeing young men and women making the decision to kill or rape someone! I'm addicted to crime shows like CSI but my weakness is the real deal like the first 48. I'm noticing a that even with the morning news I turn it in and hear about something that happened and I'm praying that its not someone I know or someone my color. It makes me angry because we have so many opportunities I just wish we would listen or just pay attention to the bigger picture! Don't leave your kids out here to figure out which way to go on with no guidance!!

Most of the time we don't really know whats going on unless it directly affects us but there is a mean world out there and its getting worse! In my neighborhood last week a 19 yr old guy started at fire at what he thought was his rival's house and ended up killing someones grandmother! This mornings news informed me of another youth shooting a police officer. I mean damn go sit your ass down somewhere.

I found out earlier last week that a classmate of mine passed away from cancer! I was so saddened by this news, but then I realized that things happen the way that they should. All I can do is pray that he had his soul in the right place.

I also wanted to add that life is so short and there are so many things that we think we have to do, or we think we have to get done that we get so caught up in this worldly world that we forget the things that are important like family and friends. So today I want you to take a deep breath and think about your life in a way that takes away the negative and accentuates the positive!

I have a huge book fetish! Since books are released every tuesday, I went to my local (not favorite) book store yesterday, and they didnt have a very big selection of african american authors! Why do you think that is? I have a process: I check walmart first they have african american books at discounted prices but they get the new releases to late! Im too impatient to order online so thats when I go to the book store. Its seems that we arent represented well in some book store chains.

The Internet

They say the Internet is the information highway and I totally agree! Its so easy to go online and find whatever you need, but it can get addictive. There has been so many times that I have been so busy and only wanted to get online to check my email and it turned into me sitting in front of the computer for a hour. So my question is: Whats worse the Internet or television?

While thinking about the Internet I thought about friends! Is it being naive to think that you can meet really good friends online? I'm very trusting at times especially towards females because I don't have very many female friends, but since becoming Internet savvy I have met a few people online (HELLO MY FAIRY BLOG MOTHER). I even reconnected with my good friend and classmate on myspace! I guess I'm asking: Can real friendships be started online?

Im working on getting a drivers license but there are some things that make me nervous! See I took drivers education when I was 16 like most teens but in my case I just didnt use the damn license or even bother getting it renewed! So now 10 years later at 26 I finally went and took the written test and I passed it which I knew I would its the driving thats scares me!

Shopping Blues

Why is it so damn hot outside? Texas weather is a mess! I feel like I'm baking every time I leave out of the door but I'm blessed to see another day.

Ive been starving myself from shopping and since I'm going through withdrawals why not talk about it?

Its one of my favorite things to do but its also something that I tend to do too much of. Impulse buying is the worst thing for me. I always see something and in that moment I think "this shirt would go good with _____" but when I get home I realize that I already have 2 or more tops that are similar to that. I'm realizing that I clearance shop like a mad woman its all good until I run out of closet space, I mean if something is marked down from $100 to $60 does that mean I cant pass it up? I especially love Old Navy because they have things that are $3 every week.

My point is shopping is a habit not a bad one but a habit. I'm finding myself with pieces of clothing that I really don't need but I was convinced I needed it at the time of purchase. Then I'm always complaining that I have nothing to wear. Its so sad I know!

How do you feel about STEVE MADDEN shoes? Are they considered knock offs?

Im happy to say that the Houston Rockets beat Utah Jazz tonight! Being that Im a proud houstonian I get so excited when our teams do great hopefully they wont let me down like they did last year.

Now I hate to admit how addicted I am to reality television I watch as much of it as I can weekly. Tonight was no different I sat my ass up and watched College Hill in between watching the game and Im sad to say that I wont be tuning in anymore! A certain male on the show totally lacks respect for women and his elders. It was a sad thing to sit through. I want to know when and where are we taught these things?Home? I already know he'll just say it was edited that way. Most people I know think that they use a script anyway! I believe that to be true sometimes myself, but I know I wont be watching the questionable BET programming anymore I was so disgusted!!!

Im having a hair crisis right now! About a month ago I decided to get a weave and unfortunately the stylist decided to glue the weave on top of my real hair so as a result of her negligence I got this big ass plug.

So after a painful weeks of thinking my hair wont grow and trying every hair growth system I could get my hands on I finally have hair coming in!! But my question is what can I do in transistion? Im wearing my natural curls right now but I feel like a kid! I cant straighten it because of the texas heat so what are my options? I refuse to wear a wig because I have a phobia of it getting caught on something and coming off!
